To create ongoing support around the world, AAUW awards grants to International Fellowship graduates who have returned home after successfully completing their funded studies. AAUW International Project Grants allow graduates to build on their academic work and implement community projects that will improve the lives of women and girls.

Eligibility Criteria for
- Applicants must have successfully completed the AAUW International Fellowship, all reporting requirements of the Fellowship, and the academic program for which the Fellowship was awarded by June 30, 2021.
- The applicant must be a citizen of a country other than the United States. A woman who holds dual citizenship in the United States and another country, a woman who holds permanent residency in the United States, or who pursues either of these two during her scholarship year is not eligible. There is none.
- Projects must take place in the applicant’s home country and have a direct positive impact on women and girls.
- Applicant must be the primary lead of the project, be responsible for the project, and control programmatic, administrative, financial, and editorial decisions.
- International Project Grants are not available for the development of work for a degree or for research used in dissertations or dissertations.
- AAUW board, committee, board, working group, and staff members, including current interns, are not eligible to apply for AAUW scholarships and grants. Current award holders may be elected or appointed to boards, committees, panels, and working groups.
